The Sun And Moon, Bredonborough.
This wonderful pub is a quintessential unimproved English pub. It does have a noise pollution system, but the NPS is not currently in use. It has a slot machine, but that isn't in use at the moment either.
I was on the doorstep at 18.00 with computer in hand, but it wasn't open on time so I returned an hour later. All of this is acceptable. The punctuality might be improved upon, probably won't be, and the clientele won't care. Except for me. The landlady is the daughter of the previous owner. The walls are a cream browned by several decades of tobacco smoke. The rear area, now a restaurant for anyone who would want to go out the back to eat, is now the formal No Smoking area. I prefer the front bar, snuggled in by the inglenook with a pint of cider, catching up with computing.
Leaving the Little Luvvie in Chiswick at lunchtime, I drove up in good time. Since wenting away for the Eurotour Of Dread, a new restaurant has opened two doors away from our front door; it is owned by a friend and is of a high standard. There is also a new bookshop in town. The new premises for Fripp World HQ are waiting. Today, contracts have been exchanged on a property that will serve as an annexe/storage zone for World HQ. All in all, movements & excitements in Bredonborough.
Arriving from London, to the High Street for shopping & haircut, then guitar practising. Now, here in my local with computer.
